CryptoTrace v3.0.0 is a production-trust and usability release. It strengthens licensing, makes privacy wording more precise, and helps trial users understand what was found and what to do next.
What's New in v3.0.0 (2026-05-18)
- Signed Pro licenses: production builds verify license signatures and no longer accept unsigned license JSON.
- Clearer privacy wording: website, terms, help, and in-app settings now distinguish local scanning from minimal trial analytics.
- Guided scan modes: scan choices are easier to understand, including quick wallet checks, deep recovery scans, old drive/folder scans, and browser extension checks.
- Friendlier results: scan summaries explain definite/probable findings and show result-specific next steps.
- Expanded detection: added more wallet app and browser-extension coverage, including Sparrow, Wasabi, Ledger Live, Trezor Suite, Coinbase Wallet, Rabby, OKX Wallet, Phantom, Nami, Yoroi, Eternl, and Keplr-style extension traces.
- Better validators: improved CashAddr checksum validation, Bech32m support, Cardano checks, and Monero address filtering.
- Artifact clustering: repeated artifacts are grouped internally so summaries can better explain repeated evidence.
Scanning remains local and read-only. Trial analytics is limited to app-use metadata and does not include scan contents, wallet contents, seed phrases, private keys, or file paths.
